About This Event
This October, Jambutek Recordings returns to Dots Bay House for another label night by the shores of Hiriketiya. Co-founders Asvajit and Nigel Perera take over the decks alongside label resident Cue Matic for a night of carefully curated grooves and good times.
It’s not Jambutek’s first time at Dots either. They’ve previously joined us in Hiriketiya for a special collaboration with Mixmag Asia, bringing their distinctive sound to our dancefloor.
Founded in 2014, Jambutek is one of Sri Lanka’s first independent electronic music imprints. For more than a decade, the label has championed sounds moving through the fringes of house and techno, with dub, funk, breaks and plenty of unexpected influences woven in.
Beyond its releases, Jambutek has helped nurture Sri Lanka’s underground electronic music scene through workshops, residencies and events across the island.
Now they’re back where we like them - behind the decks at Dots Bay House, Hiriketiya. See you on the dancefloor. 🪩
